RE: Charity of Choice 2023/24 – Holiday Luncheon Fundraiser and Charity of Choice
On behalf of our board of directors, we are thrilled to announce that we have chosen three, yes three charities of choice for 2023-2024. At our upcoming annual holiday luncheon and charity fundraiser taking place on Thursday, December 14th at Silvertip Resort, our generous members will help raise funds to support these important community organizations.
Funds raised will go to help support three main areas:
Reconciliation training and capacity building
Mental Health/trauma
Housing insecurity and programming

We would like to thank everyone who submitted an application and wish them well with their fundraising efforts. This holiday season consider finding a local charity or non-profit to help support.
BOWDA members are community builders at heart.

Your donation will help the HSBV support a year-round outreach program to connect individuals with local supports and services, a shelter location that meets the needs of our community and sustainable funding to ensure the shelter doors are open all winter.
Our December 2022 annual Holiday Luncheon and a charity fundraiser not only set a new BOWDA donation record, but an attendance record as well, with over 170 members coming together to support this great community.
In 2021/2022 BOWDA members supported both the Palliative Care Society of the Bow Valley, as well as the Canmore and Area Health Care Foundation. Funds provided expanded programming and upgrades to the Golden Eagle exterior amenity space that will be completed for summer 2023.
